Sign-up and payment in one step

Teams register, sign the waiver and pay by card or in person. Set early and late prices with dates, add promo codes, and refund from the same screen.

Divisions and rosters

Run divisions like men's, coed and age groups, each with a team cap and waitlist. Captains invite their roster, and everyone signs the waiver online.

Pool games on every field

The schedule builder spreads pool games over your fields and time slots for one day or a whole weekend, so every team gets its guaranteed games.

Brackets that fit the day

Seed single or double elimination brackets from the standings. Auto-assign uses your game length and time between games, and won't schedule past your finish-by time.

Scores from the dugout

Captains enter the final score from their phone, or only admins can, your choice. Standings and brackets update straight away.

Rain delays without the phone tree

Run auto-assign again to move games that haven't started, and send one announcement to every team by email, or by text and push on plans that include them.

How softball tournaments usually run

Most adult and youth softball tournaments guarantee each team a set number of games, often three or four. Teams play pool games on Saturday, then seeded single or double elimination brackets on Sunday, with time limits like 60 or 70 minutes and run rules to keep fields on schedule.

Seeding usually follows pool record, then run differential, then runs allowed, with a cap on run differential per game. Write your tiebreakers down before the first pitch.

Formats you can run

Pool games and brackets use the same fields, registration and live page.

  • Pool games, then a single or double elimination bracket.
  • Straight double elimination for smaller events.
  • Gold and silver brackets: a custom bracket lets you choose which teams go in each.

Fields, umpires and weather

Name your fields the way your park does, and every game shows its field and time on each player's phone. Spectators follow along on the live page without an account.

When weather hits, played games stay put and the rest can be moved by running auto-assign again for the new start time.

Common questions

How many games does each team get?

You decide when you build the schedule. Most tournaments guarantee three or four: two or three pool games plus at least one bracket game, more with double elimination.

Can standings use run differential?

Yes. Rank teams by wins or points, then break ties by head-to-head, run differential, runs scored or runs allowed.

Can it run a weekend tournament?

Yes. Pool games and bracket games can be spread over more than one day, each with its own start time and finish-by time.

Does Sportsgrove keep player stats?

Yes, on the Growth plan. Teams can track hits, runs, RBIs, home runs and strikeouts per player, entered with each game's score.
